Selection Procedure of Admission at Kendriya Vidyalaya

For Class 1st

The selection of students will be made by Draw of lots for class 1st and there is no written test for it. Transfer of school is not possible.

For Class 2^nd – 8^th

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is not going to conduct an entrance exam to select the applicants for the admission in 2nd class to class 8th. According to the official notification, selection of the applicants will be based on priority category system. And then if the number of applicants will be more than number of seats available then KVS may follow the selection procedure with lottery system as per category.

For Class 9^th

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will conduct an entrance Test or Admission Test to select the applicants for the admission of class 9^th. The applicants will be selected on the basis of their marks in the admission test. So candidates must have to qualify the admission test and have to achieve maximum score to get selected for the admission in school.

For Class 11^th

For the admission in class 11^th, KVS will select the applicants on the basis of their marks obtained in class 10th. There are different minimum required marks for different streams of 10^th class. Following is the required marks/CGPA according to the class 10^th Stream :

All candidates have to carry some important documents along with their application form during the time of admission for verification purpose. Parents/ applicants must have to carry their original documents and copies of their documents during admission time.
