Application Process

The RIMC application process is conducted twice a year, with the first round of applications starting in April and the second round in October. Candidates can apply online by visiting the RIMC website (https://rimc.gov.in/) and filling out the online application form. The application fee for the RIMC entrance exam is Rs. 600 for general category candidates and Rs. 555 for SC/ST candidates.

After filling out the application form and submitting the application fee, candidates will receive an admit card for the entrance examination. The admit card will contain details such as the date, time, and venue of the exam. Candidates must carry the admit card with them to the examination centre along with valid ID proof.

Selection Process: RIMC Admission

The RIMC selection process consists of a written examination followed by an interview. The written examination is conducted in two phases – the first phase is an objective type test, while the second phase is a descriptive test. The objective type test covers subjects such as English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge, while the descriptive test is designed to test the candidate’s writing skills.

Candidates who qualify for the written examination are called for an interview, which is conducted at the RIMC campus in Dehradun. The interview panel consists of senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces. The viva voce is meant to assess the candidate’s communication skills, general knowledge, and overall personality.
