The approximate number of seats available is 60* in Sainik School Chhingchhip Mizoram for Class VI (50 Seats for Boys and 10 Seats for Girls), and 12 Boys seats are available for admission in Class IX. The admission is made strictly per the rules required by the authority board. The student must possess the following eligibility to appear in the examination.

• Boys/Girls seeking admission for class VI should have completed ten years of age on 31 March in the year of admission (2023), and the upper age limit is 12 years. DOB should lie between (01 April 2011 to 31 March 2013)
• The students should not have emerged for Sainik School Entrance Examination earlier from any centre in India for the same class.
• Age limit criteria for 9th class: 13 to 15 years as on 31 March 2023 ( Applicant date of birth should lie between 01 April 2008 to 31 March 2010).
• The student should pass the 5th class or 8th class before starting the next session from a recognized board.
• The students have to qualify for the entrance examination to get admission to the school.
