Sainik School is considered one of the prestigious schools in India; many students wait for the application forms to be released to apply for admission. The notification has been released for the upcoming session 2024–25, and the students who are awaiting the same can apply for the Sainik School Kalikiri. The entrance examination notification has been released for the class VI, and IX and students could then take admission in the same standards.

Selection Procedure: The selection process consists of a written entrance examination (AISSEE 2024), an e-counselling of the qualified candidates, and a physical/medical fitness test. Candidates are advised not to fall into the trap of other institutions promising admission, as the Sainik School appoints no such institution/coaching centres.

The focus of the Sainik School is to develop a student wholly, i.e., a candidate gets the facilities and the proper guidance to grow academically, fitness-wise/ physically, and mentally. Sainik Schools primarily focus on candidates to join National Defence Academy (NDA). The School aims to make future officers out of these children and give them an ultimately better transformation.

Sainik Schools are residential schools/ boarding schools, and these schools are members of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC). These schools are affiliated with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). And the standard curriculum is followed according to the Central Board of Secondary Education; however, the School also prepares candidates/ students for the National Defence Academy (NDA) of Union Public Service Examinations (UPSC).

Reservation in Admission Sainik School Kalikiri 2024

The School provides category-wise reservation, i.e., 15% for the Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 25% for the dependents of Defence Service Personnel or Ex-Servicemen.

Sainik School Kalikiri Scholarship Scheme 2024-25

The school also provides scholarships to the candidates/students studying in the School based on the economic status of the student’s family. The Govt of Andhra Pradesh offers scholarships to candidates from their states subject to certain conditions as required by them. In addition Government of India Ministry of Defence also provides some share at varying rates to those cadets receiving State Government scholarships.

• The Andhra Pradesh State Government grants Merit Scholarships for 50% of boys admitted every year based on the order of merit prepared based on the Entrance Examination, irrespective of the income of the Parent/Guardian. This Scheme is available only for Andhra Pradesh Domicile boys students.
• The Government of Andhra Pradesh Authority provides scholarships to the Andhra Pradesh Domicile boys based on the father’s monthly basic pay only (mother, in case the father is not alive or guardian, in case of both father and mother are not alive).

The scholarship scheme of the A.P.Government is as given below:-

• Scholarship of Rs.34,000/- (of which Rs.2,000/- from Ministry of Defence) plus clothing allowance is given to the merit scholarship holders irrespective of parents’ income. Merit scholarship will be continued for the subsequent years subject to securing a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate in Annual Examinations. The balance of Fees and other charges are to be paid by the parents of the General, Defence, and SC & ST categories.
• The School is adjudged as the best available School by the Social Welfare / Tribal Welfare Department. Scholarships are awarded by the Social Welfare / Tribal Welfare Department to the SC / ST Boys whose Parent’s income is less than Rs. 65,000/- / Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum, respectively, under the Bright Boys Scheme – Pre-Matric Scholarships.
• To continue availing of Scholarships awarded by Social Welfare / Tribal Welfare Departments during the subsequent years, boys should obtain a minimum of 60% Marks in aggregate in the Annual Examinations.

Sainik School Kalikiri Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Admission at SS Kalikiri 2024

• For Class VI (Boys/Girls): 10 – 12 years as of 31 March 2024. The applicant’s date of birth should be between 1 April 2012 and 31 March 2014.
• For class IX (Boys/Girls): 13 – 15 years as of 31 March 2024. Required Date of Birth: 01 April 2009 to 31 March 2011.
• As on 31 March 2024.
• Aspirants should qualify for the previous class examination. Appearing students can also apply. But they must be eligible for the examination before starting the following year’s session.

Application Fees 

Through Online Mode, candidates who belong to the General/Defence Category must pay Rs.650/- and for SC/ST Category, Rs.500/- only. Pay Online Mode before the closing date.
